good puzzle or was this from one of your games? Question - why would black ever place themself in this situation (king very exposed, etc)? What opening was used to get here? Because as a pure puzzle its not very practical.

Good point, after Qd7 black will easily be ahead with his extra piece. Taking with the knight outright is better because its a clean kill and don't have to trade a piece to get the queen.
