nice .. i know that there is no such thing as a 'better checkmate' but i prefer 4.Ne4# :)
Here is an interesting position played in Russia in 1904. White checkmates at most in 5 moves. There are several variations in this position that all result in mate. The opening was a King's Gambit Accepted, which exposed the Black King to a final mate.
