Shortest-proof-game challenge

(#6742)
Hardly original, but seems to be the shortest possible problem of this theme.
Here is a slightly shorter problem of this theme. The unique SPG for this position ends with a move by Black, which should make everyone happy, including EndgameEnthusiast.

Is "this theme" the theme of a position with unique proof games of different lengths?
No, it's a different theme. I wouldn't have said "shortest" for a thing like that.
My suggestion would be to identify the comment(s) in which "this theme" occurs.
My counter would be, solve it and then you'll know the theme.

hmm
does the theme necessitate capture?
if so i dont think your position is part of the theme
Bingo. It doesn't count.

Since #6742 refers to "this theme" without telling what it is, it's up to the solver to infer the theme. I did solve it, and decided the theme is a position with a unique SPG in which a promoted pawn is captured by the opposing king. My view is that my position meets the theme and has a shorter solution.
What is your description of the theme?

What is your description of the theme?
Theme = Schnoebelen. A promoted piece is captured, having never moved.

That's very helpful.
Since a promoted rook at h8 is captured having never moved, why is my position not an example of Schnoebelen?

I was about to say that playing dumb doesn't suit you. But then I thought, maybe it does.

Perhaps it does, or perhaps I'm not just playing. But I honestly wonder why, if the theme is Schnoebelen as you stated, the shorter game doesn't qualify.

My latest thought is that the actual theme could be a Schnoebelen for both sides. I believe you're right in thinking that #6742 is the shortest problem of that theme.
To extend the theme somewhat, I wonder if someone, without using computers, can find another problem of the same length which also exhibits a Schnoebelen for both sides.

Bingo. Theme acquired.
I checked the chess problem database server and found some others of the same length, but none shorter, at least without fairy conditions.
