Excellent puzzle and thank you.  It seemed to me that 1Re3 was an interesting 1st move try.  Main threat being if 1...dxe3 2Nf6 is, I think, crushing.  1...h6 is probably best but I still think white's game is happy after 2Rh3 or 2Ng3.
