Today's daily puzzle features a clever mate from white. Starting at this position:
The solution given is 3. Nf4 Kxh1 4. Nce2 g2 5. Ng3+ Kg1 6. Nh3#. The problem doesn't show how to proceed after 3. ... Kf3.
I think a more forcing choice for white, that demonstrates the winning method if 3. ... Kf3, would have been the following:
This idea works in the puzzle varation as well, after 3. Nf4 Kf3 4. Nce2 white will play Nxg3 (if 4. ... g2 5. Rxh2 and 6. Rxg2) next and black can not prevent an eventual Rxh2.
