This is a combination that I've actually been able to use in a real game. This position is not from that game though.

this is a well known checkmate with knight after queen sacrifice

I've seen this happening at the local chess club. One of our youngsters checkmated a senior with this queen sacriface. Smothered mate, always fun to watch.

Lol i had that kind of combo but it was a bishop not a queen... still i just went back and forth taking all his pieces then got a rook in and # him after i rid him of all his "checkmate protecting squares pieces".
