Why did my puzzle rating deduct to 0?

Your new puzzles rating is explained in this article:

Everyone's rating was revised, not just yours. As far as I know, all ratings were revised downwards so that they would be more in line with other playing ratings and so that the individual puzzles would be accurately rated.
The ratings adjustment is ok, but the puzzle penalty points are too severe versus the winning points of 2-3. It is not fair nor motivating.

But you did 71 puzzles today and your rating rose somewhat.

I was a bit over 3300 and dropped to just above 2000, so yeah, dropping 1300 points was a shock at first. But honestly:
-
The guaranteed plus five per puzzle no matter how easy it was made no sense. That’s like saying Magnus should get plus five Elo for beating random 1200s, which would be crazy.
-
The idea to make puzzle rating actually match and predict real Elo strength is a good one. Before this, the rating didn’t really mean much because people could just grind tons of easy puzzles and end up with insanely high numbers that had nothing to do with their actual playing strength.
-
The number only means something in the context it’s compared to, and that context has now changed for everyone. So really, most players are still about where they were before in terms of percentile.
