I think there is a mistake with one of the puzzles as per picture below I was "advised" to move the rock A8 to H8 after this King moved from H7 to G6.
It should instead take Rock on H8 or did I missed something?
Do you have a link to the puzzle? I think you reversed the order.
At any rate, white tries to sacrifice its rook so it can promote its pawn on the next move to a queen with check to the king on h8. That would be a fork with the rook on c6, which white would win and thereby stop the pawn on c2 from successfully promoting.
Therefore, it would be better for black not to take the rook on h8. Moving to g6 would allow black to promote its own pawn next.
Black is losing either way but I guess two rooks versus rook and queen is better for black than simply being down a queen.
