It is of the logic of saying 2=4 ? No it is not. I'm saying .999... and 1 are one and the same just different ways of representing the same quantity. It might be counter intuitive to think that .999... = 1 but that's why mathematics exists. Through math I just proved it . You can trust math more than your intuition.

999 does not equal 1000
0.9 is not 1
0.99 is not 1
0.999 is still not 1 no matter how many 9's are after the 0.

Just like 1/2 is the fractional representation of 0.5 Also if u want proof it is already given at #38. ur proof was wrong as u assumed 'n' to be a whole number when u correct that , then that will also show that .999 repeating is 1. So there is no need for argument.
