1960s Canadian kids programme

Does anyone recall a Canadian programme from the 60s, where some kids lived in an abandoned wooden fort and there was a sub story called Mr Pickwick or something and there was a hen, cat rat and some other animals?

 I have Googled it and found nothing, I'm beginning to wonder if I imagined it.

in 1979 I was itchaking in the rokies mountains qest of Canada. We got pick up by a kind of a smal bus with many young kids inside. The adult driver drop us off at the same place then the kids. wen the bus leave the kinds invites us to sleep in there camps. It was a camp of wood in the forest no door nos window almost outside. They where living the magic of what you ask it was fantastic to see and to sleep a night there with them.
