Yes, but that would mean you could read minds, which would make chess boring for you.
But of course, you can say that you just won't read minds during chess games, but you'll be tempted, oh so tempted, and people will soon know you can do this feat and will never want to play chess with you.
And then your nation's army will find out you have these super powers, and tract you down, and try to use you for evil deeds.
but, of course you'll be able to beat them all into submission (you can do anything, after all), which will lead to your nation asking for the help of the rest of the world (they will accept, why wouldn't they? you nation can offer cheese and superman action figures!)
but, once again you will be victorious. and the world will be torn into chaos via the war springed from trying to capture you, who can do anything.
