I forgot to say this:
The argument that a God would have created cancer, war, suffering etc only works against a God that is thought to have created everything as it is. But it doesn't work against a God that created life complete with evolution because evolution doesn't work without pain and death. Evolution means we reached this state where we can complain about it .... that's all. And some of us can deny it. So that argument against God is a terrible one. I can prove that God doesn't exist but the argument is complex and as difficult as the one for evolution, so in any case it isn't going to convince any creationists here. Not that I wish to convince them because I've found by experience that most creationists are basically very decent people and if that's what it takes to live a good life then so be it. I've always been an atheist but I do believe in basic, universal patterns and things. The idea of God seems redundant. Life isn't an illusion at all. Bye!
