A weird Question...

Well yeah, the smartest choice is to tell the police and I would feel guilty if I took all the money. On the other hand, you can just take the money and be rich. Boom you get a mansion ten Ferraris and much more.

If it is real and mine, then why not grab as much real money as possible? However, my realistic mind tells me this isn't the case. I sense two logical possibilities for 10 million dollars or more in cash just sitting out in the street:

1) It is counterfeit and worthless; why else would someone leave that much money around? Of course, less priority of protecting something with no value.

2) It is REAL money, but this most likely means it came from an armored vehicle that transports money. In this event, it is a federal crime to steal any of that money and all of that cash is traced by serial numbers anyway. When the police (FBI most likely in this scenario), trace the money, I don't want to be the one hiding it somewhere.

The smart answer and the honest answer is to simply notify the police and have them come pick up the money. I didn't miss a chance at becoming rich; it wasn't my money in the first place. If it was something I could have "gotten away with", then oh well; easy come, easy go.

I would grab the two dollar bill, if it is not there, then I must not take any greens, and my soul will be left void...

I found $120 on the ground once (on the street while walking my dog). I looked around and no one was there. So I put it in my pocket and kept on going.

Oh my gosh I didn't think it would be that complex-

Anyone over the age of (whatever the average age of posters here is) would realize this pretty quickly.

Most people would probably take as much as they thought they could get away with and then call authorities.

Meaning, like, a pocketful or something.

Finally an honest voice

I found a debit card on the ground once too (while walking my dog again).

It was in a park and there were a lot of people. I thought I might try to find who it belonged to, but then I realized a stranger could just lie and asking a stranger for their ID would be weird, so I threw it away thinking the person who lost it will just have to call their bank and replace it.

Because like Kaiba's answer, it seemed unrealistic to try and steal from it, because that sort of thing can be tracked. Maybe I could do it at a fast food place or something, then ditch it, but I'm not that petty.

Llamas are smarter than humans.  Or at least more realistic

They are not actually a llama, they are a human, a llama cannot walk a dog and they cannot write on the internet, I thought that as an evolved species that apparently without help could learn our language you would deduce this.
