A lot of it is in the OP. @erik is the site overlord, who had only recently accepted the way of the duck but seems to have even more recently relapsed. The URLs don't work since Al is muted - so being new here, as you claim, it is then understandable you missed the beef.
Let the bunny see if he can point you somewhere rather than repeat the whole story. This also goes to illustrate why muting topics leads to repetition of content & should be avoided in most cases.

Just tried, points get deducted for deleting posts. Guess they maintain a per account post counter among other counters to calculate our pointless points.
