Here it is standing on a dvd case. It doesn't have a name yet. I've just been calling it Kitty.

I suggest a beautiful name for her. Nylonsock

How about Smog?

I appreciate suggestions but I'm very particular about my pets' names and usually take some time to find something meaningful to me.

Nylonsock, have no worries, it will be spoiled terribly. My last cat lived to be a couple months shy of 18 years before developing cancer and having to be put down. Unfortunately, I gave away all my cat paraphernalia so I've already started collecting more. I've been using a syringe I saved from my last cat's medications to help feed this one. It's just starting to get the hang of eating and drinking from a bowl so it needs help filling up. It was getting a slurry of evaporated milk and canned kitten food but is now eating enough solid food that I just use the syringe to top it off with the milk.

Interesting that you call it "her". I also keep thinking of it as female, although I haven't found out yet. I gave it a bath a couple days ago and since that manhandling it violently objects when I try to check. It really needed that bath too. The water looked like river mud when I was finished and I had one very irritated kitty on my hands.

Cats hate bathing. That's another reason dogs are more popular pets. Snuggling is more Sanitary 🙀

You have to wash dogs. Otherwise you'll start to stink like a dirty dog.

Cats generally are not clean; they're just covered with cat spit.

Bart Simpson really is a Bad Influence to the kids. Dennis The Menace isn't that bad.

Back to Topic. I can't understand why some people enjoy eating Dog meat. Until now dogs are slaughtered and eaten in the Philippines, South Korea and China despite pressure from the International Community. Why don't they eat Rats instead? Nobody will complain.

The bunny was planning to try dog in Shenzhen after much coaxing by his colleagues more than 10 years ago but was hospitalized with acute food poisoning just before he could.  Call it what you will.

Canine karma.

Dog dharma.

Ruff luck.

Bark energy.

No offense. Have you tried eating Rabbit meat?

Avatar of DrSpudnik

Ages ago, I ate some wild rabbit shot in western Kansas. My advice: leave the bunnies alone.

It's best humans don't compete with Wild Animals feeding on rabbits.

No.  Heard it tasted like chicken.

I am a Carnivore but don't eat many animals like rabbits, dogs, ducks and wild animals.

I don't care for rabbit but I've eaten plenty of wild animals. I was one of six kids growing up far in the country. When you're hungry it doesn't matter whether the food comes from a store or from the fields and forests.

There is no difference between a rabbit and a dog. We should not see a difference between eating a dog or a human or a chicken. We are naturally a murderous species. Those who say otherwise are those who have stopped us going to space. The earth does not care if we die, or cause a nuclear winter, it will have recovered in a million years or so. The universe is cruel. We within it are worse.

How about if an animal species.is under threat of Extinction due to Overhunting? Isn't it the responsibility of Humans to protect that species like whales, rhinos, tigers etc? As Civilized humans, if the government issued a law placing an Endangered species under Protection, violators must be Prosecuted.

Doesn’t Matter if everything goes extinct. Life will return (without humans) in a million years. That is a blink of an eye on a universal timescale.
Avatar of redghost101
The ‘responsibility of humans’ is ignorant. We should not need to care whether a species goes extinct
