Ari was on SNL last night!

So there I am, lying in my bed, binging my late night tv show. I’m in the middle of my episode, when I get a loud notification on my phone. I see on my reminder app, “ARI IS ON SNL TONIGHT. GET TF OUT OF YOUR BED.” I quickly jump out of bed and head downstairs, preparing for the show. I go make some popcorn, grab a sparkling water, and even decide to bake some cookies before the show starts. By the time all of this is over, it is 10:20 pm, 10 minutes before the show starts. The clock finally hits 10:30, and the show begins. It starts off as a lame family feud political comedy skit, which makes me yawn and want to sleep. But I remember that Ari will be on in a few minutes. And finally, that skit is over. It’s time to see Ari.



When the host says “and your host ARIANA GRANDE”, and Ari walks out, I scream and cry tears of happiness. She walks out in a very swexy pink dress and cute pink high heals. Her brunette hair is in a tight bun, and her nails look perfect. She introduces herself, and says hello to the audience, and talks about how great of a year it’s been. But then, she sings a song!!! She sings a nice song, and does impressions of other artists in her beautiful voice. She advertises her movie a little bit during this, but I’m too distracted by her high pitched and talented singing voice to notice anything. I’m completely swooned, and haven’t even touched my popcorn or sparkling water. When the song is over, she does a beautiful twirl and dances off of the stage. I’m trying my best not to tear up, but visibly failing miserably.



But that’s just the intro. She puts on a brown wig, and sings a weird song with 3 other women about taking a bachelorette party in Charleston. The skit is super funny. Ari is just so funny. The 4 girls keep doing their skit, and Ari keeps singing her song. Something about this girl cheating on this guy with a hot guy named Domingo.



Then she does this song when she goes into a house, which is her best friend’s house. With cinnamon candles and nice pillows, and of course spray on deodorant. She says they have the best snacks, and that her dad is a crossword nerd. But it turns out that her dad was a killer the whole time!!! But the point is, the “best friend’s house” song was just so swexy, and Ari is just so talented.


Then, Ari plays a role of a mom with a gay son, in which her son’s boyfriend some over. They play charades, and Josh has a good round, and rubs it in Ari’s face! But then Ari insults Josh so swexily! She keeps throwing out insults at him, since they are in a serious game of charades, and finally slams a bottle over his head. But then Josh throws Ari so the ground, and Ari is proud of him, since she stood up to her. Finally, Ari kisses Josh (fakely, of course), and then walks offstage.


And then, if it can’t get any better, Ari plays Celine Dion, the UFC owner. She sings about the horrors and beauty of the UFC, and highlights show behind her singing. This was just a quick break, and after that, she introducing Stevie nicks, the musical guest.

After she stopped singing, it’s time for Ari to get back on stage. She plays a son of a king, that is very shy, and has a bad singing voice as the only way he can express himself. Oh, the irony. She sings the song that the prince wrote about the Roman Empire, and it’s time for Stevie nicks to come on again.

Ari changes dresses to a stunning white dress, and introducing her again, Eesh, she’s just so swexy.

There are a few more acts, but not any more that Ari is a big part of. She’s more of a side character.

So that’s it. Ari was only on for about 15 minutes, but she got to host such a popular show. She showed her amazing voice in a few songs, and showed her personality in her skits. I’m so happy that I was able to see Ari perform and sing, and I was glad to cry some real tears of happiness. I’m so lucky to be married to her, and to be able to watch her perform and sing last night. I hope she hosts SNL sometime in the future, to entertain us all. She’s our swexy queen, and my swexy wife.
