That’s the fifty move rule. Stalemate is when the person who is up to play has no legal moves.

I am 1200, but have beaten bots rated as high as 1600. From what I heard, when Chess.com created their bots, they overestimated the strength of the bots they made, meaning they are about 400 elo less than their rating suggests.
