It arose from a careless comment from some engineer who initially said he didn't understand how bees could fly, before he investigated the matter in detail himself and found out.
Nah, you aren't right. Depends what type of engineer. Why would a regular engineer care wether or not a bee should be able to fly or not?
It was actually a statement by an French entomologist called August Magnan I think.
