Well I’m about to have to go, but here is one thing. The bacteria in that example were specifically placed in a very specialized environment for that to occur. But even besides that, is there a single mutation we know of in a more complex organism?

Lol well I’m not arguing against evolution because I think it contradicts the Catholic faith but because I think it’s just not very plausible

That makes sense.

Mutations being beneficial is not intuitive. Animals slowly becoming other animals is not intuitive either... so it definitely makes sense to have questions.

There's a long running Evolution topic here on chess.com and the guy who made it, Elroch, could give better answers than me.

Ok, so clearly the exotic breeds of dog have different sets of dna...
man simulated natural selection by only mating the dogs with the desired characteristics. Thus the dna of the dog’s progeny is far different than it’s ancestors, so far as to not be able to mate with the breed of dog it’s ancestor was

I don’t know if that makes sense, I’m no expert either

I did not mean all of nature is “god” but that he is the principal of existence

I don’t think it’s saying that nature is god more that reality is god. What we are experiencing now. This is god.

Just a final thing: Christianity is centered around something which no other religion does: a person, and that person is Jesus Christ. I know that sounds corny, but it’s true. There are things which we can never know and things that we cannot fully comprehend, so God does not merely leave it up to humans to “figure it out,” rather he left a clear sign for us: the resurrection. If you believe in the resurrection then you believe in Christ being the son of God, and if you believe in Christ then you believe in the church he founded

Islam is centered around Muhammad.
