So anyways you said the word Thanatos in there, which is reference to mythology, which is (as we all know) a reference to Persona 3.

Yes, I know. I promised Deviant to you guys a while back. And honestly, I'm sorry that this isn't Deviant. Not only am I worried that Deviant is going to crash my web a hundred times over, but I'm also smoothing out a lot of wrinkles with the base systems for the world. So, take BR0K3N L00P (the trailer, at least) as a snack for now.
[TIME: 7:00 AM.]
[WAKING UP TEST SUBJECTS...]
A sudden pain bites into you from all angles, shocking you awake. You're spat out onto the cold, polished lab floor. So it was time for another run...
[TEST SUBJECTS AWAKE.]
"Open the doors. Let them into the Maze."
[OPENING DOORS.]
A pause. Relatively short compared to the other runs.

You watch as the doors to the second area open. How many times had you watched this happen? Too many to count, you decide as you shake your head. Better to keep a clear head and keep moving. To the left, another one of those 'failed subjects', as They called them. A few well placed blows, and it's dead. Maybe... yes, it has one of those amplifier chips. Should be able to get a decent boost from it.
