lol well from being a high schooler myself everyone is going to dislike you because your a freshman. So i guess just don't pay attention to what the other older kids say. And make sure to follow the schools rules so you dont ruin it for the older kids like me because that happened to me this year where the freshman screwed it up now for me at the end of the day i cant see my best friend at the commons (the commons is a place where most kids go) and were supposed to go to a teacher. Also my last advice is just be yourself. I think i dont have to explain the last one

EmtheGoober

lol sorry for any spelling errors in mine

Be yourself, let the cool guys come to you, get a rabbit, study, don’t make friends with the wrong people

Follow all of those rules and you will be fine 😁

Don’t try and be popular. Popularity isn’t going to get you crap after high school

Wits-end

Realize that from your perspective the next four years seems like an eternity. However, when you are 30, 40, 50, 60 years old it was just a blink of your eye. But… the choices you make can effect the rest of your life both negatively and positively. There are the simple and obvious tips: avoid alcohol and drugs, refrain from sex that can lead to babies, disease, and sometimes marriage to the wrong person for you (it isn’t as hard or puritanical as some counselors will teach you), and don’t attend parties just because “everyone will be there” (nothing good happens after midnight at those parties).

Enough of the “don’ts”.

Realize that the education you receive isn’t free, adults are paying for it. So, get as much of the education (free to you now) as you can, study hard, take a wide range of classes, earn good grades. Choose really good friends, seek the advice of the really good teachers (not always the easy ones either!). Also, seek advice from respected business and community leaders about life after school. You may find one that will agree to be a mentor and open doors for you that you can’t even fathom now. Be involved in the arts of some type, studies abound proving how they assist your learning in other disciplines. Work a simple job just for the experience and a little walk around cash. Save a good portion of it to learn patience and self-discipline. Learn how beginning to save at a young age will reap huge financial benefits as you grow older.

Realize the “popular” ones in high school will end up managing Dad’s tire shop one day or working in a cubicle without windows. They have the same problems as the rest of us, they just hide them. Very few of them will become CEOs. Most likely, you’ll be the one interviewing them for a job and tell them “I’m sorry, i just don’t think you’ll be a good fit for my company.”

Consider trade school training. You can earn a really good family wage without paying $50k to $100K for a degree, and you’ll paid to learn.

Of course, have fun as you make good memories. Have fun!

If I sound like an old boomer, it’s because i am. If i could go back, I’d take the advice i was given and avoid the consequences that came as a result.

Dream for sure, but don’t forget to live.

It's a new world where everything's possible.

Unsure about focusing on grades. Focus on learning and enjoying the process of discovering more about the world around you. Hopefully your grades will reflect this.  However if you need a scholarship or something like that or already know what you want to do, forget everything I said.
