can't discuss cheaters?

I posted a question about playing a cheater in the general forum and it was removed.  I see the rules say

"The following topics or behaviors are not allowed in the main public forums or chat rooms:

Cheating?  Seriously?

When I search for "cheating" in the search box I get a page that has a link to a list of cheaters....but the link goes nowhere.  It says to click the "report abuse" link at the bottom of every page....but it's not there.  Now, mentioning cheaters will get a topic deleted?  How seriously does chess.com take cheating?

The link at the bottom of the page is there. It is called "Help and Support". Within it, there is page called "Cheaters & Cheating- What You Need To Know". You should read it. It also includes a contact email link if you have some evidence of cheating to report (and because so many people make baseless accusations when they lose a game, you are asked not to discuss specific allegations here in the forums.)

The list of cheaters was removed last year. There was a forum thread explaining why they removed it.

I reported it before posting this, and of course chess.com did nothing.  I forgot about the game and timed out, oh well.

The player is [name removed -- MOD].  Their only losses have come to one particular player, many by resigning for no reason.  Every other game is perfect according to lichess.

Speaking of lichess.  One night I got killed in a blitz game and was suspicious about it.  The next day they had a "uses computer assistance" box beside their name.  This coming from a free site.  Why can't chess.com do this?  They (lichess) let you claim victory when a player leaves the game, computer analysis, puzzles, opening training, etc, etc....all free.  Why play here?  I won't anymore.

"Reported it before posting this"?  You mean 5 hours ago? And they haven't done anything?

I'm guessing you meant 12 days ago.   I don't know what their backlog/turnaround time is on investigations.

At any rate, let's assume they looked at it. Your claim must not have been proveable. The fact that you "got killed" is not proof.

Chess.com checks out players often once they reach a 2000 rating. The player you accused isn't at that level.  Most cheaters don't use 3300 rated computers to achieve 1800 ratings.

Have you really used the computers over at lichess to analyze all of this person's games? You sound a little obsessed.

The claim you made over on lichess may have been clearer. I don't know.However, there is this tradition in America of "Innocent until proven guilty". Chess.com can't kick people off just because you "got killed".  

I know that chess.com does review a lot of games for cheating and had a cheaters list until last year with thousands of names of people kicked off. They dropped the list because they found that it did not sufficiently deter the cheaters. They assure us that they are still actively checking and will investigate any claim.

/You also know that nothing is free. Somebody is paying for that site. Somebody has to pay for development.  IF you like it, I hope you enjoy it. I found it fairly spartan.

I didn't have to make a claim at lichess, it's automatic (afaik).  Look at [removed -- MOD] online chess games.  55W/16/L/6D.  Every loss came to the same person.  Check out the other games....undefeated against very strong players....look at computer anaylsis, perfect games....all of them.  Cheating?  Of course, it's totally obvious.

Oh, and I don't have to be TOO obesessed.  Get a pgn from this site, copy/paste/import to lichess.  It's fast and simple.
