Er if your beating tomato cans and such you can get by with some flaws of course... but your ronda rousey got her head handed to her... after the initial evolution of women's MMA from its primitive state to a degree... she is never going to be champ again if she is woman enough to be back! What a loser!
Palhares got banned because he has a history of holding unto to submissons after the opponent tapped/referee signal multiple times again again... who says you can't do heel hooks or twister in MMA... those are allowed but holding unto to submissions can be lethal. Not to mention he got his head knocked out multiple times and his record shows 10 losses... and his last knockout against some unknown guy in 58 seconds...

MMA is the most complete hand to hand combat sports; barring of course from things such as eye gouging and biting etc. It has layers and layers to it with using strikes to set up takedowns or close the distance, or using threat of takedowns into strikes! It truly is the most sweet science (er not boxing).

You should just go to a Brazilian jiu jitsu or judo training session, since you have such a keen interest. First session is free, and you have nothing to lose then. Right?

Go experience for yourself.

If sambo was easy, it would be called brazilian jiu jitsu!

Georgy Kichigin in some tiny MMA promotion was his last fight... and he got knocked out in 58 seconds lel...

Anyway striking is a must... people aren't going to let your shoot for telegraphed takedown or just walk into your clinch... you will end up like this guy...

Champ of the rainbow camp.

Guy tells you that he's doing judo, and you go to him "what are the transitions like"?.

"Transitions" he says.

Here's your "transition". Go to a session and have someone get a hand on you for ten seconds.

Transition into leaving your mum's basement and getting some fresh air.

Calling someone like Ronda Rousey ""a loser"" pretty much sums up your bizarre outlook [bronze medalist in the olympics and one of the longest defending ufc champions].

UnclePeet
Striking is a must when it’s a fair contest between two professional athletes for sure

But if you walked into any D1 wrestling Univeristy pretty much anyone in the room would drag you to the ground with 1 arm regardless of what you tried to do to them

Yeah, that's why sambo guys are winning ADCC. Oh wait, it's all brazilian jiu jitsu guys like Dean Lister, Damian Maia, Marcelo Garcia, Mario Sperry, and Braulio Estima.

I'm literally having a look at the list, and the only exception that I see from brazilian jiu jitsu guys winning ADCC is the American wrestler Mark Kerr (who I remember being great in Pride FC too). One exception.

Ronda rousey is a loser... when it comes to MMA for sure... striking so bad and didn't come out for 1 year after her first lost! That's a loser for sure...

Oh girl your the one defending someone who has a history of inflicting lasting illegal damage and getting his head handed to him in some regional promotions!

Deimain maia hahahaah... how is his MMA career doing? Gosh his fight with benny askren was... quite the boxing spectacle

Rousey is a world champion in both MMA and Judo

Just the amount of work and dedication to get to that point is inconceivable to the average person
UnclePeet
She got caught up with a bad trainer. A fraud in my opinion in Edmund.

He has no business teaching anyone boxing let alone someone taking a world stage

She wouldn’t listen to the people around her and stuck with him and we all saw the result

Gosh you don't even follow MMA & have ridiculous ideas... like supporting someone who has a history of not letting go of submissions...

Ronda Rousey came along as a pioneer of the women's mma or the female draw... but the competition has left her aside and exposed her terrible striking and overall MMA game...
