Well, unless you are going for a name with a meaning, like Shakespeare, than there should already be a name you have in mind. But if not, it shouldn't matter, like most authors.

In Romeo and Juliet, Benvolio is very benevolent, calm and un-warlike in mood, that's why he's named Benvolio. If you want to name your charactersthat way, you may have to give an emotional description for anyone to suggest a name. The only reason I know that is because of my English teacher.
