I think ai may lose some jobs in the short run, but in the long run it will create jobs. Many of the jobs that exist today didn’t exist 30 years ago

See?

People can regurgitate too.

That is such a regurgitatative statement. That's the same thing that was said of the Industrial Revolution.

How do we instill morals, mores and customs into AI? We have the 3 laws. Do they cover everything? 🧠💭👨‍🎓

How do we instill morals, mores and customs into ourselves?

“That’s the same thing said of the Industrial Revolution.” I’m not sure how to interpret that statement

I don't know if anyone pointed this out already, but Isaac Asimov himself refuted his "3 laws of robotics" in his novel "I Robot", demonstrating that if pushed to its extreme (which a machine would surely do), the 3 laws of robotics would inevitably lead an IA to decide the murder of some people for the reason it calculated less people would be dead in the end, and so on, and so forth.

i did not know that.

But I know real life philosophy.

It is eloquently stated in Resident Evil: Retribution.

Alice agrees with the AI's logic: "I know. Kill a few, save a lot."

What happens when you run into the situation where you have to "kill a a few to save alot?"

Whenever a new technology appears,

people have been saying that it will create more jobs than it took away, for centuries.

What you said is nothing new.

We don't need computers to regurgitate stuff. You can do it all by yourself.

Ohh…okay, thank you for the clarification.

What you said about the vocal set of ignorant people is just representative of all the misinformation which is overwhelming the truth right now. I think you're right, it is scary. It is already amplified enough, without any help from AI.

Ding ding.

#1 last line- All new knowledge builds on existing knowledge. Would AI then start creating new knowledge that humans could not even begin to fathom? This is as mind blowing as studying cosmology. 😁

No.

I think AI will come to same conclusions as humans.

I taught a lady chess. The first she learned chess, she said, "It's just a big game of tic-tac-toe."

We know that. And computers know that. Optimally the score is 0 = 0 for both sides.

I'm sure in the future AI will conclude that MMA, UFC is a game of rock-paper-scissors as we already have.

Kudos for knowing Joseph Campbell. It should be a law that everyone has to read Joe or watch the lectures. Symbology is an important field of knowledge which relates back to, literally, everything.

And our living link to mythology is Religion.

But everyone in the modern world is poo pooing on Religion.

Amazing what literacy does to a population.

Idilis #30 🤣 Of course, now it begs the question, is using it for homework using outside help? As long as it helps you learn, I would have no objection to that. I just wonder if it's doing the work, or you are doing the work.

Geometry.

The teaching of geometry is cliche. And so are the problems.

Almost all geometry problems in a book can be solved by Geometry Expression in a few click of a button.

The teaching is the problem. Mechanical and reguritative.

Chat GPT is the beginning of a race of computer AI's and robots that are going to take over the world under my command. After I invented the Internet, computers, social media and cell phones I decided that the world was not enough. I invented AI and robots and we're going to the moon.

You copied that from a James Bond movie.

What is called "AI" is not actually artificial intelligence. It is mimicry.

Real artificial intelligence is something else.

In creating artificial intelligence, we can see the shortcomings of our intelligence.

One weakness of our intelligence is we stick with a fighting style we know. Chess openings, martial arts.

In artificial intelligence, we create machines that don't have a preference. It can play with any styles.

In teaching this AI Baby, we are learning ourselves. Just the same as we learn when we teach children.
