Let's start off here in Part Two with a cute item from Terry Gilliam: " My memory is going. I brush my teeth, and then 10 minutes later I go back and have to feel the toothbrush. Is it wet ? Did I just brush them ? " ( In my case I just keep them in a glass lol ).
Chess For Oldtimers --- Part II
Thanks for the post Pam234. Yes it seems that there is an endless supply of trolls out there somewhere.

trolls are a part of life. i'm in a group here that used to help rid the site of said trolls, by basically making fun of their stupidity. we even had a prominent staff member in the group.
hehe, those days have been long gone. cc wants more members. that's it.
One older guy still out there working away in his old age is singer Willie Nelson ( he owes more back-taxes ). He recently put out a funny new song that kind of fits in with this thread: " I Woke Up Still Not Dead Again Today ". Happened to me this morning too lol.
An interesting quote from Margret Atwood: Another belief of mine " That everyone else my age is an adult, whereas I'm merely in disguise ".
" Retirement means no pressure, no stress, no heartache --- unless you play golf. " from Gene Perret.
A very interesting quote from Thomas Mann: " Hold fast to time ! Use it ! Be conscious of each day, each hour ! The years slip away unnoticed all too easily and swiftly. " Yes all very true I'm afraid.
One of the comics that I enjoyed in the newspaper was " Peanuts " by Charles Schulz. This is a very funny quote of his that I found: " Just remember, once you're over the hill you begin to pick up speed. "
Recently I got a copy of a book that lists a lot of things one might be familiar with if one is getting on a bit. For example: if over the years you've bought " Dark Side Of The Moon " on vinyl, eight-track tape, music cassette, CD, DVD, and MP3 as well.

Excuse me young man but G.P. is wrong, very wrong... golf relieves all of the aforgone and more. Keeps you fit and healthy, lots of fresh air, mentally stimulating, socially uplifting, challenging, and if you are as good as me helps top up the pension... Oh, and it gets you away from the Dragon.... Golf is great..
interesting statement. being involved in the golf industry as i have i always wonder about those that state their skill.

not being in the industry but a life long golfer, me too.
Due to some minor technical problems ( re a troll and/or sock-puppet ) I've got to restart this old old thread here under new management and yet as it turns out I'm still the same old me lol.
