Chess For Oldtimers --- Part II
A funny item from Angus Walker: I was telling my son about the advantages of being over 50. " As you get older " I said " you get wiser ". He looked at me and replied " In that case you must be a genius. "

I am the eldest female member of my family and my cheeky son often pats me on the head and asks" How does it feel to be so old!"

no. when people say i'm old, i tell them it's better than the alternative (which involves a casket). i then tell them they will be lucky to get to my age.
(yes, i'm an old ornery fart!)
The majority of people feel they must be doing something all the time. Many who sit all day in an office or clean the house or work in a factory think that if they sit down at a sidewalk cafe and fold their arms and look at people, they are merely wasting time. They are wrong. In watching people and enjoying life, they may only then be alive ( from Arthur Rubenstein ).

One of the things I love about being retired is that I now have the time to sit and stare.I have the freedom to do what I want including doing nothing. Ain't life great!
I'm still going on protests but only social distanced ones.Went to London to protest against's Trumps visit!
