In a nutshell, a proto-chicken, nearly identical to the modern one, laid an egg with DNA that made said egg be of a modern chicken due to mutation.

fish came way before the dinosaurs which came before the birds which came.... probably around the same time as the chicken

If we’re talking about eggs in general, not just chicken eggs… still, eggs came first.
