I enjoy using them when I want to move the game along and know the next move is pretty obvious.
conditional moves

true, Brad...and they ARE a double-edged sword : I have lost a few games where I rushed some responses, and "Goodnight Nurse !"
But I love it when someone makes conditional moves against me, and I keep moving so as to trigger more conditional moves - especially when I think I am winning...lol (I am often wrong...)
The most I have made correctly is about 5 , and that is a lot I reckon.
Thrice I have led opponents to checkmate - and that is really satisfying...(mind you , it's only been when I have set up a 'forced' ending)
The most someone else has led me through is four...they ended up winning too...
I'm currently playing 17 online games, not 1 conditional move - why not?
I know they can be deadly, if rushed, or ill considered, but they can really ADD AN OTHER DIMENSION TO THE GAME.
