We are just one of millions of species on millions of planets in millions of universes.  We live a short life and then the mass of our bodies gets converted to energy.  We have a short life, suffer a lot at the end and then disappear totally.

Wrong.

Do animals react to music as we do? Is there love, hate, etc in a bacterium? Emotion is one thing humans have but any animal does not.

No Mr Grandmaster 100, there is only a gods intrinsic purpose if you have either been persuaded, or have persuaded yourself that there is a god, that he has an intrinsic purpose for us. and that is a a decent purpose.

You know very well that all that relies on faith, and not evidence.

If you choose to go with faith without evidence, good luck to you, but that is all it is.

There is an overwhelming amount of evidence, but when you refuse to accept it and instead redirect it, what do you expect? And please don't ask me to tell you, at least we know Google exists and it is there for a purpose. happy.png

That is a very ignorant statement.

Well, I can claim a level of efficacy on it, after all, I can pray to have a six on my dice and there's 1/6 chance it's granted no matter who I pray to.

Another ignorant statement. If you do not at least understand the concept of prayer, please don't comment on it.

Very true, get a verse:

He understands the concept of probablilty and how it undermines any idea that prayer works.

It is at least as good an explanation as any other.

What you pray for has to align to God's will and you cannot pray, pray and pray without putting in some work yourself.

Like I said, Google is there. When I talk about evidence, I don't mean the Bible. Do some research about why God exists and how He has manifested himself throughout history. I know you won't care or may not have the time, but I'm just putting it out there.

@TheBestBeer_Root, individuals and church congregations often pray for sick people to get better, for cancer to go into remission, and stuff like that.

Do you believe those prayers are sometimes answered?

Yes.

Great. How come none of them ever pray for amputees to grow their limbs back?

Yes, I think that is a safe assumption.

From a Christian perspective...

Yeah, I stopped reading there.

And you expect to contribute anything valid to this discussion by ignoring the opinions of others. Literally read the next sentence.

This is a useless discussion.

“The prayer of a righteous man will be answered.”

There was once a 90s show where some guys were on TV, claiming, “We can disprove the existence of God right here. So we will pray to god to turn this wate here into wine. “

Wrong. The prayer was not even answered.

Ok, then why hasn't a righteous man prayed for global peace?

Oh wait, there have been.

Yes, they have. And God will keep giving everyone the opportunity to repent and change their ways but again, we have to say YES to his will! At the end of it all, the ultimate goal is the peace and eternal happiness IN HEAVEN.

Then what the hell are we doing here?

That is factually incorrect

If a prayer only works if it's in agreement with God's plan then why do you pray in the first place? The plan will still go ahead prayer or not.

Sorry, but you will not tell me because there is no DECENT evidence at all.

There’s evidence by those who have wonderful testimonials whether you believe them or not, they still had the wonderful outcome, like I have several times growing up.

Age 9 I was attempting to stop my Mom from driving off to grocery store without asking for cheese bread lol.. I opened the door and on the porch yelled for her to not forget to buy some, my brother seeing the door ajar simply closed it, unaware my foot in seemway. I then opened and began to go back inside but noticed a drag in the carpet and looked down only to find that my pinky toe was overlapped onto my foot with a pool of blood, severed hanging the slightest of flesh on.

My first acknowledgment I completely laughed, it was like I was watching some tv program soap opera when they have some sudden accident, although it was very unrealistic based because how I realized at that age from Sunday School how I was God’s image and likeness and He is Spirit, making me spiritual, my understanding, not at all frightened from the appearance that seemed otherwise.

Well my brother freaked out, charged outside to let my Mom know, and then my Dad found out, they all hysterically saying quick, let’s get you to the hospital with me replying “Wait, we rely on the Lord, right? Dad.... you were in the service a paratrooper and nurse... just bandage it up and it will be alright!” So my Dad and brother grabbed each arm as I held my toe on my foot, hopping into bathroom and he bandaged it up with butterfly bandage. I for 3 weeks walked on it with not the slightest discomfort, and this was because how I understood the truth of who I am, and when after 3 weeks I had took the bandage off there was blood on it but not whatsoever any scar, and it before was severed bone and all hanging slightest of flesh on, yet as if never had happened when bandage removed, all because my teachings in Sunday School. It matter not whether you believe, I just for your sake hope you do and get to recognize how wonderful you truly are, and FIND you.
