I mean, frankly, it's dated. Not just the syntax, but the way it communicates ideas is really old.

These days, at least in the west, people digest info best if it's explicit and logical. Old eastern style is you tell a parable that may or may not make sense in some places, and definitely didn't happen, but the point is you read it, and meditate on the wisdom you think it might be trying to communicate... and finding a definite answer is the wrong way to think about it, that's the western way, that's not the way the author intended. It's more a meditative thing.

Also, frankly, morality has evolved a lot since then. For example we no longer enjoy owning slaves or prostituting women (or holy genocide for that matter).

So honestly, it's not even wisdom, at least not the best available... and for most people it doesn't even come close because they don't bother reading it in the first place. It's more of a weekly social group.

How truly sad... I do hope that changes for you.

It may come off as rude, but I think it's important to reach out to people like you, because maybe you heaven't heard the truth, that's all. I'm not trying to be mean about it

What’s sad sad truly sad is you have absolutely no idea what Truth is.

You and every last individual of mankind was the very moment out of the womb slapped on its @ to make sure not a stillborn and began to experience and learn ignorance. Then, being your parents only knew OF ignorance you had always been taught under its misinformation to what is real. Fact

I was raised in a christian family, and grades 7 through 12 were at a christian school where we literally had Bible class every year, and on Wednesdays we had "chappel" at school which was basically a church service where a visiting preacher would give a lecture on a piece of scripture.

I learned those people were full of it, but I'm not angry about it, I just think it's sad there are people who are never told it's BS. They think this is what they  "should" believe and never realize there is another way.

But if you've already heard the good news (heh) then I don't need to tell you anything, and you're free to live how you choose.

But in case you hadn't heard yet, at least I gave you a chance to hear some truth.

Truth is a man died for you.

Ok, well, truth is that's a made up story, and humans make up religions all through history and in every culture.

And now that we've told each other we can choose to live how we want.
