I usually don't block for trolling, that's far too general. I block for specific behaviors outlined in the OP or for general chess.com ToS violations. I also list the exacts offenses of each person I have blocked, here:

If I list "trolling" as the cause of a block , it usually means that person engaged in several incidents in a broader range, or that somebody is a returning troll with a history of broader trolling behavior in other threads.
If some new account posts something like "The Covid sucks but u all suck harder" or something like that, I will examine their posting history and if they are posting similar crap on other threads, I won't wait for repeat performances here, I will just block them immediately.
The definition of trolling is posting with the sole intent of causing other posters to respond, i.e. causing drama for attention. It's something that teenagers generally do, when being noticed even when in a negative light is preferable to being ignored by everyone. Some people never mature past this stage

I don't actually know anymore . The link does not pull up a post by them, and they still have an active account, so that means the post was probably deleted by a mod. That has happened on a number of occasions and I try to document them when they happen, but if I never notice the deletion then you just end up with a dead link that goes to the right page but does not find a post...

A few pages back I posted about the incentives to getting a shot. Free beer,.....free basball tickets,...etc. Ok,...a noble gesture. West Virginia really tops the list. This is why we won't get any action done on gun safety.
