Chill out, @Adam. You are getting all aggro on everyone lol

I believe you are legitimately very concerned about covid. I really wonder whether you are as bothered about public health in general or just covid?

For example, do you go on at as much length about smoking cigarettes, obesity, and other such things?

If I sounded aggro, apologize for that. Everyone has a different way of expressing things hence might have sounded aggressive.

Self inflicted injuries by others aren't my concern here. However if one's behavior harms others then that needs to be addressed (like people not maintaining social distancing / wearing masks)

That's an interesting position. You are worried about ones behavior harming another?? It seems like you believe someone not maintaining social distance and not wearing a mask will harm others. Were you this concerned when the flu (which is contagious) was killing tens of thousands of people per year? Could it be the number of potential illnesses that triggers your concern? Where is the threshold for you to worry about harming others? 10k? 100k? 1M?

You have baseless argument. Go read, understand and come back

I'm not arguing. I'm asking a question. My question is based on your concern that some behavior harms others. Those are your words. So, based on your words, my question to you is at what point does harm meet the threshold required for you to care? How many deaths, before you are concerned? It is a thousand? Is it 10 thousand? Is it a million? What's the number.

That is why people are called 'people'.

That is probably one of the most astute things ever said here. I'm pretty sure few will understand why.

The question was not directed at you. Aadalam is perfectly capable of answering. Now I realize it's an uncomfortable question, because an honest answer conflicts with what he or she already said. So not answering is obviously going to be the best course, to avoid hypocrisy. But that is the point isn't it? When you get to the point where you can no longer answer a question honestly, or have to lie, you have reached the point where your position needs modifying. The debate is over.

As for you, Exploring is more perceptive than I am. He correctly identified your condition. It explains why you feel the need to lie. I will not hold that against you, since that's a product of your condition. Should you overcome it, you will find it easier to deal with situations where someone is taking advantage of you.

AadalamVa

So what's the new strain of Covid19 doing? More deadly than the previous one or what?

Vangapalagalam

The vaccines are available in the market but not sure of it's efficacy

Vangapalagalam

Do all countries have them

The reason we are in this mess right now, is because people still refuse to do the basics: wear masks, social distance, not traveling to see family, not hanging out with friends in social gatherings

Some people think that going out without masks is liberty 😂😂😂

Not particularly interested in masks. I was referring to some covid regulation put through very recent which allows the police to potentially enter and search your home to see if there are any guests in it - which has already led to some extremely distasteful incidents.

Too far, wouldn't you agree? Unenforcable, perhaps?

If not, what would you personally consider to be too far?

I just watched this topic discussed on the media press review. I'd expect that it can be discussed civilly.

Keep in mind that you've been warned and have already apologized several times. We'd like to keep the topic open.

AadalamVa

@Problem5826 you can't put me down saying such things. Some comments which were seen as political by the Moderator were removed.

I've not apologized many times, but once cos' I didn't want someone to think that my comments hurt him. Otherwise I'm alright with it.

Clear for you?

AadalamVa

Are you guys wearing masks and keeping safe distance?

AadalamVa

Learn and be safe. Your pride won't keep you safe but a mask and safe distance could

AadalamVa

Any new ideas for not recommending the above two basic requirements?

AadalamVa

Bet there will be a few 😂😂😂

MovedtoLiches

En passant can be a game changer.

JijoAttumalilJose

I don't have a mask because I am running short of masks.

Vangapalagalam

How many got vaccinated for Covid? Two shots, right?
