That's a hard question to answer as I don't know what caused your friendship to end. I would text or email him and tell him a little bit about what's been going on with you the last 10 years. Let him know that you wish he'd been a part of your life the last 10 years. Tell him how deeply you regret hurting him and that hurting him was NEVER your intention. Apologize, then end the text or email, give him your contact info and tell him you really look forward to catching up with him in the near future. After that, the ball is in HIS court. Hope he calls or texts you back.

Ooooooo, that's a great question! I'm not proud of this but if I'm having trouble ending a phone conversation and I don't want to lie, I might say "Oh, there's the door - I gotta go!"

My secret crush is this girl I saw on a cruise. I was on the elevator going down to get some food I think. At the time I had a hoodie that had my schools name on it. Soon, she shyly asked me about it because it was just me and her on the elevator and it was kinda awkward to go down the elevator silently. She asked if that’s where I go to school and I said yes. She told me that she goes to our rival school and I was surprised. It was then when I actually looked her in the eyes and realized how beautiful she really was. She asked me where I was headed and said told her I was headed to the food court if she wanted to some with me. She said yes and we sat down and we talked for a while while eating and it was a nice time. This was day 2 of a 5 day cruise, so the rest of the cruise we hung out a lot and it was fun. Actually we went almost everywhere together. But when day 5 came I never asked for her number I just forgot! And I never knew her name!! I have no idea how! I haven’t had access to their schools yearbook so I can never find out! But honestly I knew that that was definitely the girl for me, and I’m still searching trying to find her name lmao

Oh noooo, @BasixWhiteBoy! Go online and look up her school and see if there's a current yearbook that you can either buy or look at online. Look for her class picture - also check out pics of school clubs, sports, theater groups, etc., etc. FIVE days and you never asked her name??? Come on now! I bet you'll never make that mistake again!

And what should I do if someone tells me they have a crush on me how do I politely tell them I'm not interested?
I'm guessing that, hypothetically, the right way is not to choke on your drink, give them a look of horror, stutter excuses, and knock over a bunch of chairs as you quickly escape the room in abject terror (all this is a completely hypothetical scenario of course...)

As the old expression goes, the way to make a friend is to be one. If someone is crushing on you, true, choking and looking horrified would NOT be the way to go!
Tell this person that you really enjoy being friends with them and that you're not looking to date anyone right now, that you're too busy(school, work, sports, music lessons, whatever you might be busy with). Let them know you appreciate their friendship.

You know where he works, and his schedule? If not far from you and it's not too difficult to be there when he's finished and plans heading home from there, come up to him, be straight out apologies, let him remember you, your sense of humor and your then relationship, tell him how you've been contemplating what to do, are even on a site and asked for some helpful guidance regarding what is the best way to get as you two were before. I'm sure he'd be happy to reconnect. 👍=)
