and i never said he is a bad fighter i just said he isnt ufc level becuase he does not know grapling and is not as good of a striker as dustin porier connor mcgreggor justin gaethge and the like

And actually, Muay Thai incorporates some grappling and clinching skills. And Muay Thai is literally one of the best striking martial arts created.

So 1, you are contradicting yourself.

And 2, you need to work on spelling and vocabulary.
3. Learn about other martial arts and martial artists (for me and you)

najdorkmiguel

i said bad relative to ufc

najdorkmiguel

point 3 is only you not me i actually know and follow the sport

Are you sure? You know technicalities and such of UFC, but knowing martial arts itself is not the same.

You claimed that some ufc fighters are probably better strikers than Buakaw, who is a Muay Thai practitioner. And if you knew anything about Muay Thai, it would be that it’s one of the best striking arts of fighting. And sure, ufc people incorporate it in their styles, but only the basic elements of it really.

The UFC was created so that different fighting styles can be tested on each other then they figured out what works and what doesnt and that became known as mma

MMA is a joke.

They make up so many rules that make real fighting styles like Muay Thai less effective.

Yes. That’s true, because at the time, Muay Thai was a art used in wars and such, so they made rules so that killing or severely wounding a opponent was out.

And it was actually a Muay Thai fighter that beat a kickboxing/boxing champion that triggered the start of MMA. If you were able to check out that one video, you can see that they limited Muay Thai so that they could not initially use legs to fight.

and k1 also has the same rules

furthermore pro muay thai has more rules than ufc

It’s actually about the same.
Wear gloves.
Don’t hit the groin.

thats a contradiction , is it not?

What do you mean?

you say ufc is garbage b/c of its rules and then you bring up a fighter in k1 which has the same rules

Just because it has the same rules doesn’t mean I can’t say one is garbage.
What does rules have anything to do with my opinion that ufc stinks?

ChessSensasian

So I don’t like certain things about UfC, and it’s fine for you if you enjoy it. I like Buakaw, and you like your Khabob. I think Muay Thai is one of the greatest martial arts created. Etc etc
So what?

najdorkmiguel

muay thai is the basis of mma obviously all i am saying is that being that mma is muay thai plus more khab ib would beat buakaw and mma is superior and the best mma fighters are the best fighters in the world and dont give me any wing chun akiado crap because thats all fake

This actually has a lot of interesting points

Most of these fighting styles are stamina/balance/discipline training even if they work they are not fighting a definitely do not work to the extent that they claim

I can see that with styles like Tai Chi.
However, there’s still a lot of good in most fighting styles. It’s not always that the fighting style is super flawed but also the practitioner. You can have a great martial art but a really terrible martial artist.
