Depression…What’s the cause? And How’s would you overcome it?

‘If you love spending time in the nature, Then go out in the nature and enjoy the feeling of fresh air in your body and relax!’
…..this actually is a great thing to do! 👍
If you can find an as best possible peacefully tranquil area just gel there…. Notice every bird that visits you, the little critters in the lawn, if are in one, maybe lean against a tree, there’s plenty little creatures, all with their own cool distinctive attributes, and the more you show them respect and that you’re harmless they will show more their selves to you, they all are amazing, each and every different creature that’s within that garden you’re in! I have a plenty times spent hours with awesome little critters, as well birds and whatever comes nearby while just enjoying the peaceful setting, relaxing time, and can be quite an experience!
Cool thread, bro! Much respect ✊ =)

SAVED FROM INSANITY AND SUICIDE
A few years ago, while under a sense of darkness and despair caused by ill health and an unhappy home, Science and Health was loaned me with a request that I should read it.
At that time my daughter was given up by materia medica to die of lingering consumption, supposed to have been inherited. My own condition seemed even more alarming, as insanity was being manifested, and rather than go to an insane asylum, it seemed to me the only thing to do was to commit suicide. Heart trouble, kidney complaint, and continual headaches caused from female trouble were some of the many ailments I had to contend with. My doctor tried to persuade me to undergo an operation as a means of relief, but I had submitted to a severe operation ten years previous, and found only additional suffering as a result, so I would not consent.
When I began with Science and Health, I read the chapter on “Prayer” first, and at that time did not suppose it possible for me to remember anything I read, but felt a sweet sense of God’s protection and power, and a hope that I should at last find Him to be what I so much needed, — a present help in time of trouble. Before that chapter on “Prayer” was finished, my daughter was downstairs eating three meals a day, and daily growing stronger. Before I had finished reading the textbook she was well, but never having heard that the reading of Science and Health healed any one, it was several months before I gave God the glory.
One by one my many ailments left me, all but the headaches; they were less frequent, until at the end of three years the fear of them was entirely overcome.
Neither myself nor my daughter have ever received treatments, but the study of the Bible and Science and Health, the Christian Science textbook by Mrs. Eddy, has healed us and keeps us well.
While Christian Science was very new to me, I attended an experience meeting in First Church of Christ, Scientist, Chicago. A gentleman told of an unhappy woman who was about to separate from her husband. This gentleman had asked her if she did not love her husband. She replied, “No; when I married him I did, but not now.” He told her God made man in His image and likeness, and that He is perfect. He said to her, “Go home and see only God’s perfect man; you don’t need to love a sinful mortal such as you have been looking upon.” The lady followed his advice, as he told her there is no separation in divine Mind. In a short time peace and harmony were in her home, and both husband and wife became members of a Christian Science church.
This testimony was like a message from heaven to me. I had received many benefits from the study of Science and Health, but it had never dawned upon my darkened consciousness till then how wonderful our God is. I knew what had taken place in that home could take place in my unhappy home where there was neither rest nor peace.
I hopefully took up my cross, and step by step my burden grew lighter, as I journeyed along, realizing the presence of the Christ, Truth, that indeed makes us free. Not all at once did any outward change appear, but at the end of three years all was peace, all the members of the family attending church together and realizing that there is but one Mind. — E. J. I sure hope others can turn to its great pages and see what can help them certainly deal with depression! =)

This is not the time nor place for such discussions.
The topic belongs in a professional setting. Seek help there. Trolling, mocking, degradation of mental health issues invariably takes place. 2nd - suggesting Religion as a cure violates site policy. This is a chess site. Be happy- play chess. Lock the thread.
a chat between between me and my depressed buddy.——
If you look closely, you’d realise that the person had been holding many of their days in regret. And they feel lonely, deep inside. Do you think this is the person’s fault? How do you think one must overcome Depression?
Depression
have you ever felt lonely? Have you ever lost interest in activities that you used to enjoy in the past? Do you find it hard to sleep at night? Ever had thoughts about harming yourself? Do you feel tired all day? Are you eating more than how much you actually used to in the past?
If your answer is yes, to atleast 2 questions from the above, Then you might’ve fallen into the depression hOLe.
Studies have shown that depression is common among teenagers and people belonging to age group of (20-30). Teenage is the age of hormonal imbalances, mood swings, from random & sudden outbursts of anger to uncontrollable tears.
School performance, social status with peers, sexual orientation, bullying etc can have a major effect on the mental health of teenagers. How should one overcome these?
How Do we overcome teenage depression?
-You may feel too exhausted to talk, ashamed at your situation. But reaching out is the first step towards a brand new start! Reaching out and sharing with close ones what you feel, isn’t a sign of weakness. Never think that you are a burden to others! You are not a burden!
Make sure whom you trust, And spend time with those who genuinely care for you!
” Don’t lose the moon, while counting the stars “
and it holds true in this case, instead of longing for relationships and people, who don’t care bout you, You could spend time with people who love you and those who’d never let you down. No matter what!
-Do things that makes you happy!
if you like songs, Listen to them whenever you feel suicidal and depressed! If you love spending time in the nature, Then go out in the nature and enjoy the feeling of fresh air in your body and relax!
If you love dancing, Dance!
Don’t hesitate to do what makes you feel good!
.
” You either win, Or Learn. You never lose “
Every mistake of Yours is tryna tell you something! Listen closely! Life tryna teach you something!
Learn! fall down, Get up and move forward. The number of times you fell down doesn’t matter! What matters, Is the number of times you stood up and moved forward!
One of the lessons that life Taught me:
”Never expect anything, From anyone “
Expectations leads to sufferings and I’ve had enough of sufferings through expectations. Don’t mind what others would say, Don’t be people’s puppet. Do what feels good for you, And keep, Moving forward 🔥!
.” Everything we hear is an opinion, Not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, Not the truth “
People keep telling everything that their monkey mind had intended them to , don’t mind their words! Learn when to calmly walk away and ignore! And Learn when to give them a taste of their own medicine😈.
learn when to hold on, and when to let go!
Depression is one of the dangerous holes of life!
” Don’t destroy your goal for a hole” (is not what you think)
Life is very short! And you live only once! Don’t waste your life! Slowly try to forget and forgive people. Fight depression! You need to fight the dark days of life you enjoy the happier ones!
” God removes people from your life, because he heard conversations that you didn’t”
everything’s gonna be alright, Only if you decide to take the path that aims towards a brand new start! If you wish to stay depressed…Nothings gonna change .
Life is too short! Realisation is the first step, wanting to change your life into a better one is the next step! And working hard towards achieving a better life is in YOUR hands!
No matter what! Keep working harder and harder till you reach your goal. Cuz you might never know how close you are.
i know that y’all might be like
“It is easier said than done “
~I’ve fought depression, I’ve been manipulated, physically and mentally hurt by my mother.i don’t blame her! I still love her!I didn’t forget the fact she was the one to give birth to me. She raised me as a single parent.& I’m none without her.I have hurt myself physically for the past 1 years. And now, after reaching out and explaining my mother. She realised her mistake and she did apologise! And so did i.
.
though we still do have little arguments now and then!
(I’m not tryna create sympathy,I don’t need/want anyone’s sympathy!.)
True love was the only thing that kept me motivated through My journey. Stay motivated!
Self motivation is the key!
“True Love is often murdered by ego, attitude and ignorance “
