Nylon doesn't like me at all (has me blocked for example), and I'm somewhat neutral about nylon (I haven't blocked him or anything).
But I don't like self appointed mini-mods running around getting friendly people muted.
Colby made a topic about wanting to be a mod, and the mods laughed in his face. So now he's doing it the roundabout way. That's not how a healthy community is made. The mods already do the job of moderation.
If you don’t know already, @Nylonsock has been muted. A well-known cat who gave Chess.com a love for catnip. And I was part of the incident.
If you haven’t heard what happened, it’s quite complicated. There was some controversy between him and another member, which mostly got resolved. Then a unnamed member stepped in and took over the post. Several other member and I got into a heated argument about how the member violated the ToS somewhere else. I left the conversation right before the death blows, so I don’t know if Nylonsock got involved, but if not, it was a tragic way to be muted. I should’ve stopped before things went out of hand, and I apologize for my part. If anyone else have any extra information about the mute, I would be grateful to help correct my interpretation of the events.
Long life catnip!
