Welcome back to Chess.com, Daniel. My apologies for not personally restoring your account, but those 7 days went by a lot quicker than I expected - if this sort of thing happens, you can always e-mail support@chess.com and the Support team will be able to help, which may very well have been what you did in this case.
I hope the time away has been helpful, and hope that we can all restart with a clean slate.
Also, please note that Chess.com also has a policy that we do not discuss our competitors here in our forums; please remove those references to other sites in the text of your post above (they can stay in the games - I appreciate that it would be a lot more work to get them out of there).
Thanks,
David

Well, finally back after the seven day timeout. I was like my grandmother’s timeout dolls.
However, I do see that some people started rumours in my absence!!! It reminds me of the time I started swearing like a sailor on my godmother’s blog and she put me on comment moderation. Next thing you know, “OMG, IS HE BANNED?!?” Well, obviously I wasn’t banned or I wouldn’t be back. Apparently, there was a glitch that was discovered. The reason I was muted in the first place was because staff member david saw I was getting pretty angry and he requested I take a break from the forums for a while. But this proved too big of a temptation for me so he gave me a seven day mute. I don’t know where this idea that “I talked back to staff” came from but that was not the case. Any way, though, a glitch was discovered in the muting system. For some reason, I was still able to post comments in the forums. Realising this, david decided it would be best to just simply disable my account for 7 days instead. On the mute, I was still able to play chess on chess.com, however, due to the fact of the glitch, my account had to be disabled. Further, I see one started the rumour that I was banned for exploiting the glitch. As soon as I found out it was a glitch, I tried my best to resist the urge to post comments and actually succeeded. However, the temptation can always be too great sometimes so it was necessary for my own benefit that my account just simply be disabled temporarily.
In actuality, when I found out my account was disabled, I wondered if it was because of my posting comments post-muting. As it turns out, it had nothing to do with that (well maybe nothing is too strong a word—like I said, after another user pointed out that abusing the glitch could get me into more trouble, I stopped). I found the forum where david had first announced my mute and as it turns out, I was correct (and somewhat relieved even though I know that my rating is going to drop significantly from time-outs in correspondence games I had going on and I sincerely apologize to all my opponents who won by time-outs there)—this was only a temporary account disablement for the 7 days (err…more, I guess because someone forgot to reenable my account).
Now, as I mentioned, with the account disablement, I was unable to play chess on chess.com but in case you were worried, I was not without chess online (which is the only place I have to play it). As some of you know, I came here from other chess websites as well and there are more out there. My accounts there are still active, I still go back to them (heck, I have a correspondence game going on there that I’m 20 days away from winning on time!). So I got caught up with some of my friends there.
Me Wayward queen trolling my homeboy krishan25us:
Him getting back at me:
Me sacrificing pawns galore and winning after giving a rook for two bishops!
Me beating the Czech defense my homegirl Fern likes to use:
I was also able to have some fun on lichess.net as well. I got to Wayward queen troll some other people.
I also tried out some of lichess’s chess variants such as three check—1. e4 c5?? 2. Qh5!! d6?? 3. Qxf7+!! Kxf7 4. Bc4+!! e6 5. Bxe6+!! (white is victorious!!!)
And pwning with the Latvian gambit!
Can someone tell me why the heck this is called the clam opening?
More Wayward queen trolling on lichess:
Me playing the Barnes:
Me playing the Calabrese counter-gambit:
Someone please explain to me the Lasa gambit.
Okay, so any way, dispelling some rumours that seemed to have been spread since my seven day time-out (which is what I personally like to call it). I guess the internet has a way of not bringing out the best in people at times. I am grateful for my blocked list though which has voided trouble that might occur without it.
***My rating on one of these sites seems rather inflated (in the 1600's) compared to my ratings on other sites. Would greatly appreciate if someone could explain that to me. TIA!
