I have looked at reviews for many different series that I like, and the ones in the series that tend to be my favorites always are ranked lower (probably cuz pretty much all reviewers are adults, and I’m 13, but that’s besides the point)
That means there is only one logical conclusion
U are right, and the public is wrong/ controlled by aliens/ ai

I read way too much i am also interested in what this book is so i may read it myself.
The key to not having bad tastes in books is to not read.
The books are: Five survive, a good girls guide to murder, and the reappearance of Rachel Price (yes I’m writing a murder mystery) also powerless

Don’t look at the one star reviews, look at the average star rating, and then at how many total ratings there are for that book. That’s a better indicator.
So I went on goodreads for a while today, looking up reviews of some of my favorite books. For fun, I went into the one star reviews. Some of their reviews were rlly harsh and the amount of ppl who agreed that the characters are shallow, have no personality, the plot is weak/is a copy of another book, the story was predictable AF, etc have just made me nervous that I have bad taste lol 🙁 Also, I’m writing a book so I looked up books similar to my genre and writing style that I thought were AMAZING. People were brutal in the one star reviews and I’m scared abt what they’ll say abt my book if they hated those really good ones 😭😭
(don’t take this too seriously, I get that people have their own opinions this is js a little book chat and me tryna convince myself I won’t get torn apart on goodreads once I’m published 😭
