Good point lbjon, salt is most likely something that snails have an inherent aversion to. Though some might not go within ten yard of salt, others may be a little reckless and slide right up to salt with no fear or concern for the potential danger to themselves.

Slugs are hermaphrodites and can reproduce either as a male or a female... So, I wonder if they have a preference as to how they go about it... Or are they all bisexuals?

Don't use slug pellets people, it takes days for the little fellers to die. That's no way to treat anybody.

I put salt on a slug once. It was so happy, it actually danced!!

Well no, but I watched some for five minutes, doesnt make me an expert but some seemed a little more pugnacious than others
