"Life of Pi" filmwas no mystery----he's using what could be called allegories or animal symbolism to explain the days of difficulties following their ship sinking...he's clearly the tiger, his mom was the monkey, the ship's cook was thw hyena, etc., etc...good movie but pure allegory; and it's all explained toward the end of the film anyway...
