You realize that on of the reasons theyre blocked is because people get pissy and post stuff like this. You're seriously obsessing over this, I mean, you say that you dont care, but it seems as if every single comment, thread, and forum that you create seems to be about this topic. If you don't care and don't judge, then it shouldnt matter if someone's gay, straight, trans, etc. I think that instead of people just keeping everything to themselves, they should just be allowed to be proud of who they are. It isn't political unless you make it political. Just live and let live, and anyways, if it doesn't matter, then why shouldn't it be allowed?
Besides, this is called the off-topic forum for a reason.
Chess.com has policies in place prohibiting discussions of religion and politics, but they appear to allow discussions of sexuality, namely homosexuality.
I think homosexuality discussions encompass both religious and political arenas, the political aspect being it's a agenda of the left, a adopted child of liberalism. Religiously, homosexuality is considered a sin. This being said, it's impossible to have a discussion on homosexuality without invoking both the forbidden subjects of religion and politics, hence sexual orientation should join the list of prohibited subjects.
At the very least, a policy of Don't ask, Don't tell should be adopted. A person's race, creed, gender, or sexual preferences do not matter and have no bearing on a forum for chess.
When I'm playing a game, I care only about the game and my opponents strength and weaknesses, not their race, creed, sexual orientation. The same goes for forum discussions, present your ideas, lay down your thoughts, I'll judge you by your words, not your race, creed, sexual orientation. In the end, isn't that all that matters?
Don't ask. Don't tell.
