I've heard the idea that all airline pilots are liars. (Sigh.)
Others say that their map is only an idea of a map and so isn't necessarily accurate. (Sorry struggling not to laugh here.)
Others say these flights actually do and use fake diagrams or like one plane's flight (often research planes that didn't go normal routes for a reason) .
In other words, they have nothing plausible.

They use a polar projection, that makes Aurstralia 4 times larger than Canada.
