The consensus of string theorists is we live in a 11 dimensional world. New theories suggest only 9 dimensions. How this effects a 2 dimensional flat world is beyond my understanding. .

Maybe we all get confused? The earth is said to under go radical changes. Could have been round 1000 years ago but today it is defiantly flat. (Most of the time)

Planet found off the coast of Scotland. It's very much like our Earth, with land and water. Nobody knew it was there untill the cloud cleared recently. Scientists think it has probably been there for 2.5 million years.

It is real. Look at it. It's not Earth. I've never seen that planet before. I might buy a big green chunk of it with a private beach.

If you go outside and shine a torch straight ahead, the roundness of the earth and gravity and stuff should mean the same light hits you in the back fractions of a second later. I just tried it and nothing. Eat that roundies!
The physicists tell us that light has mass, though very little. The pathetically feeble light from a torch would have nowhere near enough mass to be held by earth's gravitational pull or enough power to circle the globe and return to the same point (a trip of some 25,000 miles).
So what's the consensus? Anything decided? I vote flat, just like a ball!
