Unfortunately, as far as I know, that's not true: the moderators don't have access to what was deleted. We'd like people to take screen shots, but also understand that screen shots - like quotes - can be manipulated to make it look like someone has posted something that they did not.

I have taken screen shots of these alleged posts and then removed them, but unfortunately - on its own - that is not sufficient evidence on its own to act. If you can verify that it is indeed part of a pattern of behaviour, we will act.

I have spoken to YumYumSharpTeeth about this feud in PM, and it must stop. Both sides, irrespective of whether a specific thread is or is not locked.

On the old chess.com it used to be so afaik  - with view source you could see the deleted tags.

His post #21 was deleted by a mod, as I blocked him before he could do so.  Isn't that remark quoted in post #23 sufficient for action?

I don't remember ever having behaved in a similar vile fashion.  So putting us in the same bracket would be unfair.

I merely called him out on his false statements and rudeness to other members.  I have no personal feud with him.  However it escalated to racist and personal attacks from him and him stalking me on other threads.  You can see that even then I have been more than civil with him.

Implementing my suggestion in post 24 would prevent any such dispute and requirement for reporters to take screenshots which might still be suspected of being doctored.

In post #19 here he accuses me of making the quotes up.  So he is obviously changing his posts for the purpose of malicious deception.

Unsure what other verification is required.

I can ask the moderator group about it, but certainly no-one's mentioned anything like in the two years I've been part of the team.

While I can see he's changing his posts, I wouldn't be comfortable calling it "malicious deception" at this point in time. I think that thread has had changes in the first post, though, so I have now locked it. 

Basically I am telling all sides to put the keyboards down slowly and walk the other way. Some may be participating more civilly in the remaining currently visible threads, but it's still feeding the flames, and therefore needs to stop as well.

   ---   Btw I have noticed that a serious problem at this site is the fact that the rudest of the trolls merely start a new account and get back into the site after their old account has been banned. This will of course allow these characters to carry on as before. I don't pretend to know very much about computers but in this high-tech world is there not any way in which this type of activity can be tracked ???  

There is, but only if it is wanted; seems this site is more interested in large member numbers (if you pardon the expression).

Well as advised by David, I'll try not to write about him on the forums anymore.

Why don’t I ever get warnings regardless of how rude I am?  It’s like the mods just don’t care. It really sends a clear message from their side and it says ‘ stuff the duck’ 

I find it very harsh. 

I know the site owner loves me but does that mean the mods can treat me this way?
