I drink black tea or peppermint tea during my games now. Coffee if it’s first thing in the morning. I find it increases my alertness and concentration without the caffeine crash.
I once tried chamomile tea and I dose off mid game; big mistake.

Yep, did it last night, two or three times, playing in bed at 1:30am. Stooged myself on one daily game, started another game on lichess.org by accident, and finally decided not to look again until the next day, after lots more coffee :-).
Yesterday I came from drinking a few with some friends and for some reason joined a Rapid tourney (two days of playing more than bullet), and even though I was "sleeping". I did great. But yes my Bullet rating can go as low as 1000 when I am falling asleep while playing some nights.
I hope you intended to go there.
People fall asleep on buses and things and miss their stops. Falling asleep on a plane or train isn't a big deal, but falling asleep and missing your connecting flight or missing a train platform is a problem.
I've fallen asleep while playing 3|0... and won anyway... lol.
Involuntarily closing my eyes between turns, then the sound of my opponent's move wakes me up.
I tried to explain my teen daughter about getting beat up by yardsticks, she doesn’t believe that the teachers were allowed to beat us. If I went and told my grandmother, she would beat me too for giving a hard time to the Teacher. 😂
Will anyone else admit they sometimes fall asleep while playing a chess game online?
If yes, please share your stories...
Asking because I can't stay awake right now and I've fallen asleep twice. Both times, I woke up to matches that I almost joined by accident 😅
