Found a prior chess opponent in a different video game

So while in a first person shooter named Counter Strike, I had my name and picture as a bishop, and the opposite team struck up a chess conversation with me, and after giving them my username to add, I thought I recognized a username and sure enough I had played him earlier on in the day. Current player count on Counter Strike is about 600,000, so the likeliness of this happening has to be way out there, but was really cool nonetheless.
