In that game,
White could not win because they had insufficient material to mate.
Black could not win because they ran out of time.
Since neither player could win, a draw was the correct result.

Your opponent ran out of time, but YOU had insufficient material for a win. Draw.
Hi trysts. Thanks for clarifying that for me. I thought Time was first criteria for a timed game. So what you are saying, that in a timed game the material is first criteria not time. I had no idea about that. I guess it makes sence, maybe.

Hi. I recently played a game where my opponnent's time run out while I still had one minute left. However at the end of his time showing 0:00 Chess.com ended the game in Draw. This is an incorrect call, the message showed "Draw, insuficient material" but there were the two Kings and a Rook, which is a won endgame. Also the Draw was not offered nor there were 50 moves withouth a capture. Has anybody experience this incorrect calls? Is it possible to get my win annotated to my records with points and all instead of the incorrect Draw?
