Global Warming

Anybody has a guess of what will be Average US Temperature by 2020?

No idea.

On the other hand, that can be misleading.

The surface temperature isn't always accurate of the overall temperature. Bear these things in mind:

As the overall temperature rises, water expands, which pushes it up on the shore line and makes it easier to evaporate by making it more shallow and spreading the surface of the water mass.

Thus, more water will enter the air, creating more moisture and heavier rains, likely decreasing the actual surface temperature (and increasingly high snow falls).

Also bear in mind that as the overall temperature of the Earth climbs, things like the polar ice caps will melt, releasing previously stagnant ice (and very cold water) into the oceans, lowering their temperature and having an impact on the Earth's surface temperature as well.

In other words, the surface temperature of the Earth can decrease dramatically, giving the false impression that the Earth is cooling when in reality, the overall temperature is increasing.

It will depend on the Sun spot activity...

I think that we do contribute to global warming, but only slightly. We shouldn't think we are so powerful to change the world in this way, who do we think we are.

THE SUN, is what is causing Global warming at such a fast pace, not us. Yes we are being blamed, the powers that be, need a reason to tax us more in any which way they can

The way in which many people (some of which have posted in this thread) dismiss hard scientific facts based on their own egotistical prejudice is reminiscent of the way a very weak chess player in a position that has been reached by hundreds of grandmasters believes that their gut feeling about what move is best is more reliable than the sum of all expert experience.

I can understand the emotional appeal of ignoring even the possibility that there may be other people whose knowledge and expertise can be learnt from, but it still amazes me that people can spend their whole lives without realising the possibility that this way of thinking might lead to errors of belief.

Here's one theory.

In the 80s President Reagan initiated the Star Wars defence program. Originally intended for blowing ICBM's out of the sky from space. This was supposedly scrapped due to funding sometime in the 90's. I don't think it was scrapped.  Why scrap something so cool?

This is the weapon they use to cut the ice, film it and then sell it to us as the disaster movie that is global warming.

It is microwave technology. No lasers, no flash, no bang. Uses something called molecular disassociation. This technology can reduce concrete to very fine dust.
