Good enough- poem

Once again you paid the price

For something that you did

You start to doubt that change is real

Feeling like a foolish kid

.

Will you ever be enough?

Can you ever really change?

Thoughts begin to weigh you down

That improving’s out of range

.

You wish you could be perfect

Or even somewhere near

But then you once again commit

All the sins you fear

.

You wonder if you can be loved

With all the wrong you do

You fear that even God will leave

If he sees what’s done by you

.

Well buddy, i got news for you

You’re not the only one

Everyone has problem

Every daughter, every son

.

You think you’re never good enough?

That hope cannot be found?

Just look around at all the world

We all have equal ground

.

Yet God hasn’t given up

On any of us yet

So why should you be special?

The only one God will forget?

.

So when you feel unworthy

Like you never could be loved

Just look to He who came to Earth

From the heavens up above

.

He gave His life to give you hope

He suffered in the cross

If an all-knowing God believes in you

Then how could you be lost?

.

Until you see those pearly gates

And meet the God of love

You’re never at perfection

But you’re always good enough
